What do I need to bring?
The West Michigan VITA Collegiate Partnership provides free income tax preparation for low to middle income households. The IRS-sponsored VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program partners with community groups to help families, seniors and the disabled e-file their tax returns. Every year millions of dollars in tax refunds and credits go unclaimed by those who need them the most. We wish to help West Michigan families receive the tax refunds and credits that enable them to stay in their homes, feed their families, keep the lights on, and save for tomorrow.
This year we will operate out of thirteen tax sites, all of which offer free electronic filing (e-file). Your taxes will be prepared by local college student who has taken the courses and received the certifications required to complete your return. We will be working in and around the Kent County area and preparing taxes in Coopersville, Hastings, and Holland, Michigan.
